Position Overview

Looking to add versatile, supplemental income to your current practice? Join our Ontario-based, fully remote integrative team as a Nurse Practitioner, where your expertise is valued and your time is respected. This opportunity lets you earn extra income with minimal admin work and no rigid hours.

This is an ongoing role, not a short-term placement. We’re looking for an NP who wants to build a long-term working relationship and grow with us.

Our Naturopathic Doctors assess each patient and recommend bloodwork or imaging, with their clinical reasons documented in the chart. You review the file, speak with the patient in a short call, and decide whether and what to order, then complete the requisition. When results come in, you upload them and let the patient and ND know.

Choose when and where you work, and enjoy the freedom to earn extra income on your own schedule. No clocking in, no paperwork overload, just a straightforward, rewarding role that fits around your life.

Key Responsibilities

- Review the ND’s assessment and recommended testing in the patient’s chart.
- Call the patient for about five minutes, any time between 4 and 8 p.m. on a business day of your choosing, within two business days of receiving the file: ask any questions you have, tell them what you have decided to order, and explain how to prepare for their tests.
- Decide, in your own clinical judgment, whether and what to order, and complete the requisition within the same two business days.
- Document your decision in the EMR (Jane) and share the requisition with the patient.
- When results are received, upload them to the chart, review them, and notify the patient and the ND through our EMR.
- Call the patient directly when a result is clinically urgent, such as a critical value that needs prompt action.

Compensation

$35 per patient file,

paid monthly on invoice. A file is the whole job for one patient: the chart review, the five-minute call, the requisition, and the results when they come in. The entire process is estimated to take 20–25 minutes of total work per patient file across its full lifecycle, with results-related tasks completed later when the results become available.

At 40 to 80 files a month, that is $1,400 to $2,800 a month alongside your current practice, with no fixed hours.

Additional earnings: $20 per call for a clinically urgent result, and $15 when a requisition is re-issued because of a patient error, such as a misspelled name or incorrect details.

Why You’ll Love Working With Us

- Flexible Hours to Suit Your Schedule: Complete each new patient file within two business days, and schedule the patient call between 4 and 8 p.m. on a day that works for you. Current workload varies from zero to approximately four new patient files per day. The entire process requires an estimated 20–25 minutes of total work per file across its lifecycle, including the initial review and call, requisition completion, and subsequent results-related tasks. Results follow-up happens later, when results become available. This role is designed to fit around your existing commitments and lifestyle.
- Work from Anywhere: Manage everything from the comfort of your home, or wherever you are.
- Files Ready for Review:

The ND has already assessed the patient and documented the recommended testing, so you have what you need to make your decision.
- Quick, Supportive Onboarding: A fast, straightforward onboarding process, including help setting up your EMR and lab portal access. Our team is here to support you every step of the way.
- Collaborative, Respectful Team Culture: Join a team that values your expertise and supports open communication, clear protocols, and a collaborative approach to patient-centered care.

Qualifications

- Licensed Nurse Practitioner in Ontario, registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario and in good standing.
- Genuinely interested in functional and integrative medicine, and enjoys a whole-person, root-cause approach.
- A New Brunswick NP license is a plus, but not required.
- Looking for a long-term role and ready to commit to an ongoing working relationship.
- Comfortable with EMR systems, online lab portals, and secure online communication.
- A team player with a positive attitude, who enjoys working closely with naturopathic doctors to support seamless, patient-centered care.
- Detail-oriented, with strong communication skills and a willingness to learn and grow with a supportive team.
