The Opportunity:

Our client, a leading Tier 1 manufacturing supplier, is seeking a Plant Human Resources Lead to support and oversee HR operations within a unionized manufacturing facility.

This is an excellent opportunity for a senior HR professional with strong manufacturing and labour relations experience who is ready to be a key member of the company's management team. Working closely with plant leadership, corporate HR, and union representatives, you will help drive workforce strategies, employee engagement, and overall plant performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Oversee daily HR operations and partner with plant leadership on workforce planning and business objectives
- Manage labour relations, including grievances, investigations, collective agreement interpretation, and union-management relations
- Build robust relationships with union representatives, including Unifor and/or Steelworkers
- Lead employee engagement, retention, attendance management, and workplace performance initiatives
- Provide guidance to management on employee relations, performance management and HR policies
- Oversee hourly recruitment, onboarding, training, and employee development
- Manage WSIB claims, workplace investigations, and return-to-work coordination
- Oversee HR reporting, HRIS, payroll, benefits administration, and regulatory compliance

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources,



Business Administration, or equivalent; CHRL designation is an asset
- Minimum 5+ years of progressive senior-level HR experience in a manufacturing environment, with unionized experience essential
- Strong knowledge of labour relations, grievance management, collective bargaining agreements, and employment legislation
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with hourly employees, union representatives, and plant leadership
- Experience supporting employee engagement, attendance management, recruitment, and performance management
- Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, HRIS, and ADP Workforce Now AutoPay is an asset

COMPENSATION:

- $90, 000 – $110, 000 / year (depending on experience)
