The Service Excellence (SE) organisation is responsible for the care and support for all large TELUS business customers from public and private sectors up to the global enterprise level. The SE Planning & Strategy Team is looking for a seasoned project manager to lead the execution of a systems standardisation and migration project to allow TELUS Business Solutions to better serve our business customers.
We are looking for an exceptional individual with strong project management, business consulting & collaboration skills who can work in a complex setting that includes external partners, sales, technical, go-to-market, and operations teams.
The individual will be accountable for developing the project plans to drive the migration and coordinating the delivery of projects that have both significant business value and potential operational risk.
The individual will also work with an extended team to evaluate schedules and allocate resources. To be successful, you need to combine project management techniques with pragmatic solutions to balance competing objectives in a large, complex business environment.
Responsibilities
- Accountable for evaluating, planning, and implementing strategic projects,
ensuring critical deliverables are met; employ effective project and change management methodologies in managing risks and change
- Lead the team to define objectives and secure appropriate resources; develop schedules to ensure timely completion of key strategic cross-functional projects
- Ensure control of projects/work streams: dealing with conflicting priorities, issues, risks, dependencies and changes.
- Balance the demands of concurrent projects while maintaining a high level of diplomacy
- Manage project actions and escalate issues to leadership when appropriate.
Relationship Management
- Working closely with Operations and Technology Teams to minimise or eliminate business disruptions
- Communicate and champion the objective and value of the projects to the stakeholder base
- Apply exceptional leadership skills in managing stakeholder expectations
- Report project execution and health on a regular basis to our leadership
- Provide guidance and ongoing support to team members throughout all critical project phases
Project-Related Specific The following familiarity or exposure to various systems, processes, and tools will be a great addition to be successful in this role.
- Experience in CRM technologies like Salesforce and ServiceNow
- ITIL Knowledge
- Worked on customer support/service-related projects
