Somenos Dental Care is the newest dental clinic in Duncan, BC expected to open between late 2026 and early 2027 - we are in search of a dental hygienist to join our new team. We are looking for someone who shares our commitment to patient-centred care, professional growth, and collaboration between team members. We are looking to fill a part-time position with the option to transition to full-time as our practice grows.

What to Expect from Us

At Somenos Dental Care you will be able to provide a comprehensive scope of hygiene services; our office is providing hygiene care following Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT) protocols and is willing to provide training and ongoing support to you in adopting this technique. You can expect flexibility with appointment times based on patient complexity and dental care needs. We have an experienced team of dental professionals in all areas of the office who are willing to mentor and provide assistance as needed. Hygienists of all experience levels are encouraged to apply. We value feedback from our employees to change what doesn't work and move forward. We encourage staff to keep up with continuing education and embrace changes as standards of care evolve. Our office is using Akitu One as our practice management software though experience with the program is not a necessity as it is user friendly.

What We Expect from You

You are licensed with the BCCOHP as a dental hygienist in good standing, with current CPR-BLS (a requirement for everyone at our office). We encourage hygienists of all experience levels to apply. We are looking for individuals who are proud of their skilled strengths but honest about their goals for improvement. Strong communication skills are a cornerstone of our practice and being able to connect with our patients to establish trust is paramount. Amongst the typical duties of regular periodontal charting, oral hygiene instruction etc. you will be required to take x-rays and collaborate with the team members based on recall exam findings and determine hygiene frequencies based on the needs of the patient. We expect you are open to seeing patients of all ages and abilities and have the flexibility to adapt treatment and recommendations to each patient to deliver optimal care.

Pay: $59.00-$64.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16.0 – 40.0 per week
