Support workplace safety at Charlottetown Metal Products through inspections, training, and incident management. Build hands-on occupational health and safety experience in a manufacturing environment.

The Health and Safety Coordinator supports CMP’s safety programs, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. You will coordinate training, workplace inspections, risk assessments, incident investigations, corrective actions, and safety records. The position also supports WCB claims, return-to-work programs, committee activities, and communication across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

- Administer and improve health and safety programs
- Lead onboarding, safety training, and certification programs
- Manage inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations




- Coordinate WCB claims and return-to-work programs
- Support Joint Health and Safety Committee activities

Requirements:

- Post-secondary education in occupational health and safety or related field
- Zero to two years’ relevant experience considered an asset
- Solid computer skills using Word and Excel
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Valid First Aid certification or ability to obtain it
