Install and troubleshoot mechanical equipment offshore Newfoundland and Labrador as an Industrial Millwright supporting Wood’s Hibernia Platform operations.
Wood is recruiting an Industrial Millwright / Mechanical Fitter for an adhoc, casual or temporary call-out assignment. You will support oil and gas petrochemical operations by maintaining stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment. The work involves planning millwright activities using drawings and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment
- Maintain mechanical equipment supporting offshore operations
- Repair and troubleshoot industrial machinery
- Plan millwright activities using drawings and specifications
- Execute millwright activities according to technical specifications
Requirements:
- Availability for call-out work as needed
- Ability to work twelve hours per day
- Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights
- Comfort working outdoors and in extreme weather
- Successful site-specific medical, drug, and alcohol testing
