This Mechanical Fitter position supports commercial aircraft operators through component disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair, replacement, and re-assembly. The work suits an experienced Mechanical Technician with aviation or motor manufacturing experience in trimming and upholstery. You will also need understanding of technical publications and Commercial Aerospace working practices.

Key Responsibilities:

- Disassemble aircraft components for repair and inspection
- Clean components before examination and further work
- Inspect aircraft components and identify repair requirements




- Replace parts and complete component repairs
- Re-assemble windows, sliding tables, drain masts, and engine mounts

Requirements:

- Experience as a Mechanical Technician
- Trimming and upholstery experience in aviation or motor manufacturing
- Understanding of technical publications
- Knowledge of Commercial Aerospace working practices
- BTEC, BNC, ONC, or HNC/HND engineering qualification desirable
