Pitblado Law is seeking a litigation associate to join our estate litigation team. This is an opportunity to be part of a growing team of lawyers whose practices focus on estate litigation. We are looking for someone with (at least) two to five years of litigation experience. Estate litigation experience would be an asset, but lawyers from other litigation practices who are interested in building a practice focused on estate litigation are encouraged to apply. Managing litigation files and working with clients from initial consultation through to completion of matters. Advising clients on disputes involving estates, wills, trusts, powers of attorney and related matters. Drafting notices of application and motion, affidavits, briefs and other pleadings and court materials. Conducting legal research, reviewing evidence, and developing case strategies. Conducting examinations and representing clients at hearings, mediations and other stages of the litigation process. Working collaboratively with Partners, Associates, Legal assistants, and other members of the team to deliver timely,



practical advice to clients and to produce exceptional work. At least two to five years of litigation experience (estate litigation an asset). Solid legal research, analysis, drafting, and advocacy skills. An interest in learning, receiving feedback and practising in an area of law that is in high demand.
