The Media & Communications Manager will join a high-performing team dedicated to amplifying the Fund’s impact and strengthening its reputation as one of the region’s most respected private foundations. From shaping press strategies to preparing the CEO for high-profile engagements, from building trusted relationships with journalists to weaving narratives that showcase the Fund’s impact, this role is an opportunity to be a trusted storyteller, a relationship-builder, and a guardian of Bill Daniels’ legacy. The right candidate will thrive in a fast-paced workplace and gain exposure to national-level initiatives. The Media & Communications Manager will: Shape and distribute press releases, media advisories, op-eds, speeches, and talking points that elevate the Fund’s mission and priorities. Monitor media coverage, conduct research, and prepare timely news summaries and briefing materials for the CEO, leadership team, and board. Manage press inquiries, coordinate interviews, and oversee logistics for media events. Build and sustain strong relationships with local and national reporters. Prepare and support the CEO and staff for interviews, briefings, and public engagements.



Coordinate crisis communication efforts with professionalism and discretion. Track communications metrics, analyze results, and contribute to strategic planning. Assist with special projects and perform other duties as assigned. This position requires occasional evening, weekend, and travel commitments. You understand first-hand the importance of the foundation always adhering to Bill Daniels’ principles, style, and direction. You take pride in crafting clear, concise, and persuasive language across multiple platforms. You know how to tailor your voice to the audience, whether writing for the media, preparing remarks, or drafting a press release. You are media savvy. You understand news cycles, thrive in fast-paced environments, and know how to cultivate trusted media relationships. You distill complex issues into clear, accessible language. You bring structure, attention to detail, and discipline to every project, ensuring timely and excellent delivery.
