Mechanical maintenance Supervisor Reporting to the Maintenance Manager Melt Shop, as a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor , you supervise and direct the maintenance team to ensure mechanical equipment maintenance at the Plant in order to meet safety, quality, efficiency, cost and service objectives. Ensures that all employees are trained in job requirements before permanent assignment. Searches for new material to update training for all employees. Ensures implementation of Company training programs and development of department’s personnel. Informs subordinators of performance expectations. Monitors and evaluates performance and coaches, as necessary. Ensure compliance with regulations and Company policies. Defines Department Quality Standards and ensures all employees are aware of standards and new requirements.



Ensures that each employee is trained in their job. Complete training checklists as soon as training is completed. Mechanical or industrial engineer with relevant experience in heavy industry *
* preferred Previous experience working in an industrial setting/ manufacturing mill would be considered a robust asset Bilingual: English and French *
* preferred Operational Workforce Planning Intermediate D365 Manufacturing & Production Apps Novice Management Foundations" Intermediate Inspired to perform well by an ability to drive new ventures within the business Inspired to perform well by the ability to contribute to the success of a project or the organization Inspired to perform without outside help Certificate of Higher Education or better in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
