We are hiring for a Push Button Test Machine Operator in Markham, Ontario

Job Description

As a General Production Worker (Test) Days, you perform functional testing on electronic devices, operate production equipment, and follow standardized procedures to ensure products meet quality and performance requirements. You handle units throughout the testing and packaging process while accurately documenting results in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Responsibilities

Perform functional testing on electronic devices using designated test equipment and fixtures. Place devices into test units, initiate test cycles, and monitor machine operation throughout the process. Observe and interpret LED indicators and other visual signals to confirm that devices are functioning correctly. Identify and report any product or test anomalies in accordance with SOPs and quality guidelines. Remove units from test equipment and place them into appropriate boxes or containers for further processing or shipment.

Follow written SOP instructions and documentation requirements with accuracy and attention to detail. Read and interpret basic blueprints or diagrams as needed for production and testing tasks. Operate production machinery safely and efficiently, following all operating procedures and safety protocols. Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safe and efficient production operations. Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors, asking questions and providing updates as needed.

Use mechanical aptitude and good visual acuity to inspect parts and verify correct assembly and test results. Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection and comply with all safety policies.



Essential Skills At least 1 year of machine operator experience in a production or manufacturing environment. Ability to operate production machinery and follow machine operating procedures safely and consistently. Basic electronics knowledge sufficient to understand functional testing and LED indicators.

Ability to read and understand blueprints or basic technical diagrams. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to follow instructions fluently. Mechanical aptitude and good vision to inspect components and verify test results accurately. Ability to follow SOPs and document work clearly and accurately. Additional Skills & Qualifications Direct machine operator setup experience, including configuring and preparing machines for production runs. Experience in electronics and electrical work.

Work Environment

You work in a generally clean manufacturing environment with occasional exposure to dust, metals, solder, high noise levels from operating machines, and physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts. You wear designated personal protective equipment (PPE) and electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection where required. The setting is a modern electronics production facility with structured processes and safety protocols, and you collaborate closely with friendly coworkers in a team-oriented atmosphere.

& Location This is a Contract position based out of Markham, ON. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.50
- $19.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
