Agnico Eagle aims to reduce its carbon emissions by 30% by 2030 and achieve net-zero emissions by 2050. The incumbent will play a key role in supporting these goals by helping the company understand its energy needs, improve its energy efficiency, and implement decarbonization projects.
Reporting to the Infrastructure Superintendent, you will be part of the Technical Services Infrastructure Department. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating technologies related to the efficient production and use of energy and decarbonization, as well as monitoring the energy needs of operations to ensure that they have the required energy blocks. In addition, you will support the infrastructure team in the evaluation of study projects.



You will ensure that objectives are met while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, the Health and Safety Code of Conduct and the Setting.
Specifically, you will have to:
Energy and decarbonization:
Support the various groups in the design and implementation of solutions to optimize the energy balance of current and future operations;
Carry out the various engineering phases required for the execution of energy and decarbonization projects.
Perform the technical, economic, and financial analyses required to assess the viability and profitability of identified opportunities.
