Swing Class 3 Driver Position Type: Permanent Full-Time Start Date: Immediately Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00am start Compensation: $26.66 per hour Today, Miller Waste operates collection fleets, recycling facilities, transfer stations, and composting operations that help communities manage waste responsibly while recovering valuable resources from the waste stream. The Swing Class 3 Driver will be responsible for operating various trucks. This role supports public health by ensuring timely service, adherence to safety and environmental regulations, and respectful interaction with the community. In the position of Swing Class 3 Driver, the responsibilities include, but are not limited to: The safe and effective operation of Front-End, Roll-Off, Boom, Cube Van, Rear Loader, Top Loader trucks. Ensure customers are serviced as per their contractual requirements and schedules. Collection of cardboard in the core of Halifax. Demonstrate excellent customer service skills. Meet or exceed performance and productivity expectations through proven results.



During some periods you will be required to assist with driving for residential collections. Must have a valid Class 3 Driver’s Licence. Must possess a clean driving record. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Overtime, holidays and/or weekends will be required at times. Excellent attendance and performance record.
