This is Lakeridge Health Reporting to Manager of 2N (Inpatient Medicine), the successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning implementation and evaluating nursing care and practice activities in a multidisciplinary family centred care environment. The Registered Practical Nurse will be responsible for personal patient care, vital signs, physical assessment, administration of medications, monitoring IV’s, setting up medical equipment as appropriate and other duties as assigned. Current certification with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Practical Nurse from an accredited college or proof of upgraded equivalent skills Diploma prepared Registered Practical Nurse or proof of upgraded equivalent skills Physical/Health Assessment course from a recognized institution or equivalent course Current employment experience in medical/surgical units (minimum 1 year) Demonstrated skills in providing patient education and sharing knowledge of expected outcomes and care. Excellent interpersonal, communication,



and documentation skills with the ability to work well with patients, families, all levels of staff and the community.
