We are a friendly family in Oakville looking for a kind, reliable and energetic nanny/family helper to join us for two afternoons each week, with the possibility of increasing hours over time. We have two wonderful children — a 22-month-old and an almost 6-year-old — and we're looking for someone who can help make the busy afternoon and evening period a little easier for our family. The hours would be approximately 3:00–7:00 PM, two days per week to start. The role would include a mix of:
- Playing with and caring for the children
- Helping with snacks and dinner
- Simple meal preparation
- Helping during mealtime
- Tidying up the kitchen and general child-related cleanup
- Helping with the evening routine until the children are settled, with the priority being the 22 month old
- Providing an extra pair of hands during the busy 3–7 PM period We are hoping to find someone who is warm, patient, dependable and genuinely enjoys spending time with children.
Experience with toddlers is significant, and nanny/childcare experience would be an asset. We're looking for someone who would enjoy becoming a trusted and familiar person in our household, rather than simply coming in to babysit. We want the arrangement to work well for everyone and would be happy to increase hours in the future if it's a good fit.
