Role Description The CCS/Compliance Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Brampton, ON. This position is responsible for ensuring that customs activities comply with applicable Canadian regulations and internal policies. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing documentation for accuracy, monitoring transactions for regulatory compliance, and supporting internal audits and corrective actions. The CCS/Compliance Officer will liaise with clients, government agencies, and internal teams to clarify requirements, resolve issues, and provide guidance on best practices.



The role also involves maintaining up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes, contributing to process improvements, and assisting in training staff on compliance procedures. Qualifications
• Strong compliance management skills, including experience implementing and maintaining customs or trade compliance programs.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements related to Canadian customs, import/export rules, and border clearance procedures.
• Analytical skills to review documentation, identify discrepancies, and assess compliance risks.
• Transparent and professional communication skills for interacting with clients, regulatory bodies, and internal stakeholders.
• Basic understanding of finance as it relates to duties, taxes, and customs valuation.
• CCS designation or equivalent customs-related certification is an asset.
• Previous experience in customs brokerage, logistics, or international trade is preferred.
• Ability to work accurately under time constraints and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
• Knowledge with CanData is preferred but not required.
