Conference Housing Manager
Location:
Remote We are looking for an experienced Conference Housing Manager to manage hotel room blocks and housing operations for association conferences and conventions across North America. This is a specialized conference housing position, not a general event planning role. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience managing hotel room inventory, pickup, cutoffs, rooming lists, and hotel relationships across multiple events. Intrigued? You’ll run housing for association meetings that book tens of thousands of room nights across multiple properties and sub-blocks. Blocks that size move constantly, and pick-up rarely lands where the forecast said it would. Reading those patterns early, and adjusting before rooms are lost, is most of the job. You’re the one the client calls, and the one the hotels work with day to day. You’ll set the block strategy, keep the data behind it clean, and turn what’s happening into reporting a board can act on. Once the event wraps, you run the audit and reconcile the room nights the client uses to bill their hotels. There’s real room to work your own way here. If you have a view on how housing should be done, we want to hear it. And for clients who ask us to source their venue, that sits with this role too. But WHAT will you be doing? Core Responsibilities 1. Room block management

• Process review and recommendations to the client 3. Client relationship management
• Serve as the client’s housing point of contact from kickoff through post-event close
• Manage the hotel relationship on the client’s behalf,
including partner letters, inventory confirmation, and issue escalation
• Own the client communication cadence and escalation path 4. Room sales management
• Maximize pick-up and capture rate
• Maximize potential to earn hotel incentives 5. Post-event audit and reconciliation
• Hotel audit and master account review
• Reconcile audited room nights and confirm final billable volume
• Deliver final pick-up and audit summaries supporting the client’s commission collection from hotels 6. Project management
• Stakeholder management
• Scope, time, and budget management
• Billing management 7. Venue and site sourcing and selection
