Location:
Canada (2 days onsite preferred; remote may be considered for a solid candidate) Employment Type: Contract Client is looking for 2 days onsite but if you find someone really good, we could probably work out remotely. Client is specifically looking for a hands-on WLM performance optimization expert in a large enterprise or public-sector environments. Scope of Work /

Key Responsibilities
The selected specialist will be responsible for:
• Mainframe Performance Assessment
• Assess existing z/OS WLM policies and configurations.
• Analyze performance across multiple LPARs, IMS and Db2 environments.
• Identify performance bottlenecks, resource contention and optimization opportunities.
• WLM Optimization & Capacity Management
• Design and recommend improvements to WLM policies and workload priorities.
• Support implementation and validation of approved WLM changes.




• Develop capacity planning and forecasting recommendations.
• Performance Reporting & Analytics
• Enhance existing mainframe performance and capacity reporting.
• Develop IMS and Db2 transaction-level performance reports.
• Provide CPU, storage, workload utilization and capacity trend reporting.
• Operational Advisory & Knowledge Transfer
• Support investigation and troubleshooting of production performance issues.
• Provide technical recommendations to improve operational reliability.
• Prepare technical documentation and conduct knowledge transfer sessions. Please share the following for suitable candidates:
