Quarry Worker (Brechin, ON) Tomlinson is seeking a motivated and hardworking individual to join our Materials Group as a Quarry Worker at our Brechin Quarry. This hands-on role supports the daily operation and maintenance of the crushing plant through equipment operation, general labour, housekeeping, and maintenance activities. The successful candidate will be safety-focused, mechanically inclined, and willing to work in a physically demanding outdoor environment while contributing to the efficient production of aggregate materials.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Make sure crusher is in working order
• Operate Skid Steers
• Work quickly, efficiently and safely to fix problems when crusher shuts downDaily check of crusher, grease the Canica, change grease cartridges
• Clean the jaw and cone crushers
• Clean screens and hoods
• Clean around the crushing plant
• Measure, count and change screens
• Shovel under crusher
• Shovel Canica deck
• Clean tools
• Put scrap away
• Prepare tools and equipment for maintenance
• Perform maintenance on equipment when plant is shut down
• Miscellaneous jobs assigned by Quarry Foreman
• Operate rock truck and loader as required

REQUIREMENTS:




• Frequent travel and stay in the Ottawa area WORKING

CONDITIONS:
• Noisy and dusty environment
• Rough (bumpy) driving conditions
• Typical work day is 10-12 hours with occasional weekend and night shift requirements COMPENSATION: The expected hourly range for this position is $28.00
