Provide comprehensive primary care in Nanaimo, BC, using Family Medicine expertise and strong skills in Urgent Care. This contract role is on-site during agreed clinical hours.

As a Family Physician with Island Health, you will care for patients of all ages in an in office clinical setting. The work combines Primary Care, Medicine, Urgent Care, and Community Health. You will support continuity, prevention, and coordinated care within an interdisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct patient assessments across all ages
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions
- Provide preventive care and coordinate specialty referrals
- Participate in urgent care when needed
- Maintain documentation and follow evidence-informed guidelines

Requirements:

- Expertise in Primary Care and Family Medicine
- Clinical proficiency in Medicine and Urgent Care
- Licensure or eligibility with British Columbia's physician college
- Family Medicine certification, such as CCFP or equivalent
- Current CPR/BLS certification and inclusive-care commitment
