Johnson Electric seeks an Operations Technician Electrician in Ancaster, Ontario, for onsite straight day shifts focused on PLCs and industrial controls.

This electrician installs, maintains, troubleshoots, tests, and repairs industrial electrical equipment and control systems. The work supports equipment reliability, continuous improvement, secure operations, and code compliance. You will report to the Maintenance Supervisor while supporting manufacturing equipment and automation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Diagnose PLC, CNC, robotics, automation, VFD, and servo-drive malfunctions
- Install, program, calibrate, test, and maintain PLCs
- Perform preventive maintenance and document completed activities
- Support installations, startups, commissioning, upgrades, and capital projects




- Record work orders and equipment history in CMMS/EAM

Requirements:

- Valid 442A and/or 309A electrician certificate
- Recognized electrician apprenticeship completion
- One to five years post-qualification industrial maintenance experience
- Manufacturing experience with PLC-based automated equipment
- Ability to interpret schematics and troubleshoot control systems
