Operate school buses safely for School District 72 in Campbell River and surrounding communities, using defensive driving and student supervision skills. This on-call position serves schools throughout the school year.

As a Casual Bus Driver, you will transport students and staff within the district and on field trips. You will follow BC Motor Vehicle Act Regulations, School District Policy, the School Bus Driver's Manual, and student Risk Reduction Plans. The work includes bus operation, vehicle care, student monitoring, and communication with families and school staff.

Key Responsibilities:

- Transport students and staff within the district and on field trips
- Provide a protected environment through defensive driving practices
- Monitor safe loading, riding, and unloading procedures




- Maintain, clean, and complete minor bus maintenance
- Advise parents, teachers, and administrators about student behaviour

Requirements:

- Minimum 1,000 hours of recent bus driving experience
- Current valid British Columbia Class 2 driver's licence
- Airbrake endorsement and understanding of bus equipment
- Ability to speak, read, and write English
- Physical capability to perform all bus driving duties
