Heritage Christian Online School seeks an independent contractor for adaptable school-hour support in a family home. You will encourage Home Learners within the Inclusive Education Department. The work may grow from 8–15 weekly hours as student needs and EA skills develop.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students' social, spiritual, and academic learning needs
- Differentiate learning according to abilities and learning styles
- Collaborate with parents and the Case Manager
- Assist with IEP goals alongside the student support team
- Provide mentorship and encouragement to Home Learners
Requirements:
- Education, EA support, behaviour intervention, or youth experience
- Certified Educational Assistant certificate or training in process
- Grade-level subject knowledge or willingness to learn
- Experience differentiating learning across proficiency levels
- Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and Zoom proficiency
