Job Description
- Operate and drive tractor-trailer, long combination vehicles & straight trucks weighing over 5000 GVW to transport goods and materials;




- Responsible for planning scheduled trip logistics and to obtain required documentation from office.
- Load and unload goods as and when required
- Receive & relay information to central dispatch
- Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection of vehicle systems, equipment and accessories such as tires, lights and turning signals, brakes etc. -Ensure cargo is secured properly in accordance with safety requirements and follow safety procedures -Record and maintain cargo information, logbook, distance travelled and vehicle's fuel consumption. -Manually and/or electronically maintain logbook. -Operate GPS systems effectively -May drive as part of a two-person team
