This role is for you The A220 Commercial Aircraft Program is looking for a Tooling Designer to join our tooling team based in Mirabel (Quebec, Canada) , where you will work in close collaboration with international stakeholders and internal production teams. You will be part of the Tooling team responsible for / developing order & design new tooling for the a220 FAL's. Your role as Tooling Designer will be to Design diverse A220 tooling projects across Mirabel and Mobile, from mezzanines to robotics. You will oversee the full project lifecycle to ensure, quality, and safety standards. This role is central to the department, meeting both Airbus and OIQ requirements. Your Challenges: Conceptualize technical solutions, 3 D modeling, concept reviews, and drafting/2 D drawing creation. In addition, ensure: DFM
- Design for Manufacturing, Cycle time and ergonomics, Reliability and maintainability, Compliance with safety standards; Interpret, validate, and enforce drawings, specifications, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T;), and manufacturability requirements (DFM/DFA); Act as lead orchestrator during multidisciplinary design reviews, facilitate meetings, and ensure the engagement of internal stakeholders; Attend external and internal tooling buy-offs, validate process repeatability/capability, track non-conformities, and mandate required corrective actions; Plan, coordinate, and schedule external engineering services.
