We currently have a role as an ARCHITECT / LEAD APPLICATION MODERNIZATION with our large consulting client, working for a large modernization project for apublic sector, crown corporation in the Montreal area. Role: ARCHITECT / LEAD APPLICATION MODERNIZATION Type: Permanent or Long Term Contract

Salary:
Base salary ranges from $150,000
- $165,000 (depending on experience) + 9% bonus + 4-5 weeks paid vacation + 6% RRSP matching + perks + sick/personal day + cell phone allowance + discounts for public transit and may other perks Contract Pay Rate: $110
- $130/hr (freelance/incorporated) Language

Requirements:
English & French Key Info: Candidates must be based out of Quebec Support the progressive modernization of legacy applications towards the organization's target architectures. Act as a technical leader within a multidisciplinary squad and drive architecture decisions to accelerate transformation while reducing operational risks. Responsibilities
- Perform analysis of existing systems, their architecture and dependencies.
- Map application flows and integrations.
- Define the target architecture and modernization trajectories.
- Develop strategies for slicing, refactoring, and incremental migration.
- Support the development teams in the implementation of solutions.




- Participate in technology governance and architecture reviews.
- Define the standards of quality, safety, performance and resilience.
- Supervise the implementation of DevOps and CI/CD practices.
- Contribute to the observability, monitoring and exploitation strategy.
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Enterprise Architects, and Operations Teams. Desired experience
- 10 years and more in software development and architecture.
- Demonstrated experience in modernizing legacy applications.
- Participation in large-scale transformation or migration programs.
- Recognized technical leadership with multidisciplinary teams.
