Lead municipal planning and development in Diamond Valley, Alberta, simplifying approvals while guiding a growing team and Council decisions. As Director of Planning & Development, you will report to the CAO and own implementation of the new Land Use Bylaw. You will translate complex planning matters into practical processes for applicants, Council, and staff. Your work will connect Corporate Services, Operations, and capital planning.

Key Responsibilities
- Run Planning & Development and attend Council Meetings
- Hire the team, including an RPP-qualified approvals supervisor
- Deliver the new Land Use Bylaw through implementation
- Create applicant checklists, timelines, and understandable processes
- Prepare plain-language reports supporting Council decisions

Requirements:
- Entrepreneurial, steady approach to complex planning matters
- Experience leading people or projects
- Clear communication and practical judgment
- Understanding of how development projects get built
