Senior Financial Analyst to support internal legal entity reporting and external reporting including full cycle preparation of financial reviews for our Oil and Gas client (Req 11113) Our energy sector client is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support internal legal entity reporting and external reporting including full cycle preparation of financial reviews Candidates will be in-office 5 days/week in downtown Calgary Must Haves
- 8+ years of experience as a Financial Analyst with post-designation financial reporting experience in Oil and Gas environments
- CA or CPA designation
- Strong knowledge of IFRS requirements and legal entity financial reporting
- Experience using Excel and SAP.
- Previous experience with an auditing firm (PwC, KPMG, etc)
- Solid attention to detail and takes pride in accuracy. Strong Nice to Haves:
- University undergraduate degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance
- SAP experience
- Group Reporting experience Responsibilities
- Assist with the review of consolidated financial statements, management discussion and analysis, and supplemental reporting on a quarterly basis
- Coordinate the preparation and review of Canadian and U.
S. legal entity financial statements and note disclosures in accordance with IFRS
- Collaborate with Business Units and the Tax team to support legal entity financial statement preparation and review
- Support audit and review engagements with external auditors
- Implement reporting process improvements and efficiencies
- Work with Accounting Research to resolve reporting and disclosure matters, including IFRS changes
- Assist with preparation and review of tax step memos,
