Lead municipal governance administration for Smoky Lake County through legislative services, privacy management, and confidential executive support. This senior role requires advanced MS 365 skills. Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, this position supports County Council, elected officials, executive management, and the public. Responsibilities span Council workflows, bylaws, policies, privacy requests, and corporate records. The role also serves as Municipal Legislative Clerk and designated Privacy Officer. Key Responsibilities:

Manage CAO scheduling, correspondence, briefings, and workflow tracking Prepare Council agendas, RFDs, minutes, and records repositories Oversee bylaws, statutory notices, hearings, proclamations,



and agreements Administer privacy requests and corporate record retention schedules Assist elections, censuses, policy research, and interdepartmental projects Requirements:

Diploma or degree in administration, political science, or related field Five-plus years progressive administrative experience, including municipal government Two-plus years supporting executives, agendas, and official minutes Knowledge of Alberta MGA and POPA; advanced MS 365 skills Class 5 licence, criminal record check, and evening meeting availability Apply legislative administration, privacy oversight, and executive support expertise to strengthen governance at Smoky Lake County.
