Lead substation civil design for Qualus from Vancouver or Calgary, applying Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and stormwater modeling expertise. This Senior Engineer role supports Qualus’s T&D; Canada business and reports to the Director of Engineering. You will design utility substation infrastructure, review technical work, and coordinate civil project delivery. The position covers grading, drainage, earthworks, access roads, oil containment, and related site systems. Key Responsibilities:
Design civil infrastructure for utility substation facilities Perform analyses using Civil 3D, AutoCAD, GIS, and hydraulic tools Prepare design reports, specifications, and field review documents Review vendor and contractor documents against project standards Coordinate civil scope,
schedules, budgets, and resources Requirements:
Civil Engineering degree from a recognized university Canadian P.Eng. designation or eligibility with EGBC At least 12 years of civil engineering design experience Utility substation design experience across major site systems Knowledge of Canadian codes, regulations, and utility standards Apply civil engineering leadership, substation design expertise, and technical review skills to Qualus infrastructure projects in British Columbia or Alberta.
