Senior Civil Designer / Field Technologist work combines AutoCAD Civil 3D design with hands-on field assignments across community development projects. Approximately half the work involves design, with half dedicated to field activities.
At Stantec, this experienced position supports community development projects through independent routine assignments and larger projects. You will prepare grading, servicing, drainage, stormwater, roads, and municipal infrastructure designs. The work also includes survey support, construction observation, and project verification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare civil designs for grading, servicing, drainage, and roads
- Develop Civil 3D surfaces, corridors, profiles, and pipe networks
- Operate RTK GNSS equipment for field data collection
- Conduct surveys, inspections,
layouts, measurements, and field verification
- Coordinate field and design issues with project stakeholders
Requirements:
- Minimum five years of civil design experience
- Solid AutoCAD Civil 3D and municipal infrastructure knowledge
- Demonstrated construction observation, surveying, and field collection experience
- Hands-on RTK GNSS survey equipment experience required
- Valid Ontario Class G driver’s license and site travel ability
