As a Case Manager Trainee, you will receive on-the-job training while supporting Short-Term and Long Term Disability claims. The position covers Group and Individual business, with responsibilities spanning documentation, policy review, client collaboration, and return-to-work services. You will work under general supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess claims and render decisions through proactive case management
- Obtain documentation from members, reinsurers, practitioners, and providers
- Understand client businesses and identify possible accommodations
- Communicate claim updates and decisions empathetically
- Coordinate rehabilitation services supporting sustainable return to work
Requirements:
- Allied Health Professional degree or equivalent medical experience
- One to three years of complex customer service experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Microsoft Office knowledge and robust computer skills
- Availability for onsite training in Winnipeg
