Develop GNSS and INS positioning solutions as a Senior Software Engineer with Garmin in the Greater Kansas City area or Cochrane, Alberta.
Work on Garmin’s Core Platform Technology team, advancing positioning technology across product segments. The role combines C/C++ embedded software engineering, positioning algorithms, and technical research. You will collaborate across disciplines while contributing to productization and algorithm development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop GNSS and INS based positioning solutions
- Design, implement, test, and document C/C++ embedded software
- Contribute to positioning algorithm productization
- Review software and algorithm designs with peers
- Mentor less experienced Software Engineers
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and five years’ relevant experience, or equivalent
- Experience with GNSS measurements, error sources, and estimation techniques
- Proficiency with C/C++ in embedded real-time environments
- Ability to automate positioning data analysis using Python, Matlab, or C++
- Experience researching and implementing algorithmic solutions
