This internship is for an Engineering Student joining the Halifax Buildings group starting May 2026. You will receive mentoring and training from Engineers and Senior Technologists. The work supports building design for public and private sector clients through calculations, data collection, model review, and drawing interpretation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Interpret current industry codes and standards
- Conduct engineering design calculations
- Assist design teams with fundamental engineering tasks




- Collect and verify data in client facilities
- Review 3D models using visualization tools

Requirements:

- Complete 1.5 years of undergraduate engineering study
- Study electrical, mechanical, or structural engineering
- Demonstrate self-motivation and team orientation
- Meet tight deadlines and communicate effectively
- Use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook proficiently

Develop building engineering experience through calculations, model review, field representation, and technical support at Stantec Halifax.
