Provide person-centered support as a Health Care Aide in person at Portage Regional Health Centre’s Surgical/Obstetrics department. Work days, nights, and weekends.

Southern Health-Santé Sud seeks a temporary Health Care Aide for Portage la Prairie. Under nursing team-leader direction, you will assist residents or patients with Activities of Daily Living identified in care plans. The position requires communication, organization, confidentiality, and culturally respectful care.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support patients with Activities of Daily Living
- Follow established standards of practice and care plans
- Work to full scope of practice
- Determine work priorities and appropriate methods
- Seek assistance when unusual matters arise

Requirements:

- Grade 12 and recognized Health Care Aide Certificate
- Current Basic Life Support certification for Acute Care
- One to two years’ health care experience preferred
- Robust verbal, written, and English communication skills
- Ability to manage stressful environments and meet job demands
