Location: Surrey, BC, Canada
Terms of employment: Permanent, Full Time
Main Duties:
- Supervise and care for two children in the employer’s home
- Bathe, dress and feed the children
- Change diapers and assist with toilet training as directed by the parents
- Sterilize bottles and prepare formula and baby food
- Prepare and serve healthy, balanced meals and snacks for the children
- Prepare the children for naps and bedtime and settle them for rest periods
- Plan and lead age-appropriate activities such as games, crafts, reading and outings
- Take the children to and from school, medical or other appointments
- Assist the children with homework and school projects
- Teach the children personal hygiene, manners and social skills
- Guide and discipline the children using the methods requested by the parents
- Support the emotional well-being of the children and provide comfort and reassurance
- Maintain a safe, clean and healthy workplace throughout the home
- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties related to childcare
- Keep daily records of the children’s activities, meals and health information and report to the parents
- Assume full responsibility for the household and the children in the absence of the parents
Requirements:
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: 7 to 12 months of experience or any post-secondary diploma.
Work Location Information: Employer’s Home in Surrey, BC, Canada
Wages: $20.50/hr.
