Industrial machinery maintenance is central to this full time Millwright Apprentice role with Schaeffler Aerospace Canada Inc. in a production environment.
You will perform maintenance, troubleshoot breakdowns, read drawings, and communicate problems to a Journeyman Millwright. The position supports candidates pursuing the Millwright License (433A), with graduation to permanent Industrial Maintenance Mechanic after licensing. Schaeffler production and quality systems knowledge is relevant to this work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance on industrial machinery
- Read drawings and communicate problems to Journeyman Millwright
- Troubleshoot machine irregularities and breakdowns
- Repair or replace defective machine parts and equipment
- Complete scheduled preventative maintenance tasks
Requirements:
- Grade 12 diploma
- Pursuing or planning to pursue Millwright License 433A
- Mechanical aptitude or related discipline certification
- Knowledge of Schaeffler production and quality systems
- Pass Controlled Goods and criminal background assessments
