As a General Labourer, you will perform routine testing under a department Supervisor’s direction. The work includes cataloguing samples, preparing standards and reagents, maintaining calibration records, interpreting results, and supporting laboratory personnel. You will follow quality protocols while managing supplies and sample movement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Log samples accurately and promptly into LIMS
- Catalogue, store, retrieve, dispose, or return samples
- Prepare standards and reagents for laboratory testing
- Maintain equipment calibration records and monitor maintenance
- Interpret results and report quality discrepancies
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Laboratory experience considered an asset
- Working knowledge of LIMS and computer software
- Strong communication, time management, and attention to detail
- Availability for rotating days, afternoons, and evenings
