Install vehicle systems and electrical components as a Mechanical General Assembler with General Dynamics Land Systems-Canada. Work on Light Armoured Vehicles.

This salaried fixed term contract lasts 12 months, with potential to become permanent. The role involves mechanical assembly, wiring, repairs, modifications, and retrofits. You will use engineering specifications, specialized tools, and material handling equipment while supporting accurate reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

- Install, align, and fasten powerpacks, axles, and suspension systems
- Connect wiring harnesses, control panels, and junction boxes
- Operate cranes, hoists, forklifts, and test equipment safely
- Repair, modify, and retrofit Light Armoured Vehicles
- Monitor parts usage and prepare management reports

Requirements:

- High school diploma or GED required
- One to three years of relevant experience
- Ability to follow detailed assembly instructions
- Ability to operate forklifts and portable cranes
- Availability for swing shift operation and physical tasks
