Maintain West Vancouver’s transit bus fleet through mechanical checks, fueling, cleaning, and vehicle safety work during evening and night shifts. This permanent full time position supports reliable public transit operations.

Transit Service Technicians report to the Transit Maintenance Manager within the West Vancouver Transit Department. The work includes preventative maintenance support, bus cleaning, yard control, and basic assistance to mechanics. Candidates need mechanical aptitude, automated cleaning equipment skills, and independent work ability.

Key Responsibilities:

- Check engine and fluid levels on transit buses
- Fuel buses daily and change buses on the road
- Clean bus interiors and exteriors thoroughly




- Check vehicles for unreported damage
- Perform yard control duties and assist mechanics

Requirements:

- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
- Twelve months of related field experience
- Valid Class 2 or Class 3 British Columbia driver’s license
- Air Brake endorsement and acceptable driver’s abstract
- Police information check and relevant credentials
