Support school-age children through creative play and childcare as an Early Learning Assistant with the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board.

This term position works under an Early Childhood Educator’s direction in the Extended Day Program. You will provide childcare after school, including qualified activity days and school breaks. The work includes enhancing child-based play, guiding children, modeling appropriate behaviour techniques, and supporting program objectives. A working knowledge of English is required.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide childcare to school-age students after school
- Support care during professional activity days
- Assist during school break periods
- Enhance child-based play and guide students




- Model appropriate behaviour techniques and support program goals

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent education and experience
- One year post-secondary childcare experience in group settings
- Standard First Aid and CPR Level C certification
- Required vulnerable sector Police Record Check
- Required immunization and chicken pox documentation
