Build powerline skills on Ontario transmission projects as an Apprentice Lineman, interpreting drawings and supporting safe field operations on rotation.

Forbes Bros. Group of Companies is seeking an Apprentice Lineman for full-time temporary, in office rotational work. You will support power system construction and maintenance while developing trade skills in an IBEW union role. The work includes overhead and underground lines, substations, related equipment, safety practices, and Lineman certification training.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist with transmission and distribution system construction
- Install, inspect, maintain, repair, and remove equipment
- Transport materials and lay underground cables in trenches
- Interpret site plans and construction drawings




- Complete training and documentation toward Lineman certification

Requirements:

- Minimum six months’ powerline or related industry experience
- Willingness to complete Lineman certification training
- Strong safety awareness and hazard-control knowledge
- Ability to perform heavy lifting in varying weather
- Valid driver’s licence and acceptable driver’s abstract

Develop transmission, distribution, safety, and drawing-interpretation skills while supporting Forbes Bros. field crews across Ontario.
