Responsibilities
- checking engine and fluid levels
- daily fueling
- cleaning the inside and outside of buses
- changing buses on the road
- steam cleaning
- performing major interior cleaning of buses
- checking buses for unreported damage
- providing basic assistance to mechanics
- perform yard control duties
- other duties as required
Preferred Qualifications
- strong mechanical aptitude
- ability to operate automated cleaning equipment
- ability to work both as part of a team and individually with minimal supervision
- willingness to work a variety of shifts
- ability to meet deadlines
Qualifications
- completed a Grade 12 High School Diploma or equivalent
- has twelve months prior experience in a related field
- holds a valid Class 2 or Class 3 BC Driver's License with Air Brake endorsement
Requirements
Successful candidates will be required to provide an acceptable driver's abstract, a police information check, and copies of relevant credentials.
Position Status
Union (ATU) - Permanent, Full-Time
Hours of Work
40 hours per week
The current shift schedule for this position is primarily an 8-hour evening/night shift with start times from 6:00 p.m. and ending up to 2:30 a.m., with two consecutive days off. Hours and days of work may vary according to operational requirements.
Rate of Pay
$35.91 per hour+ $2.10 per hour shift differential (shift differential is based on the current shift schedule)
