Lead strategic communications, media relations, and executive counsel at United Way Greater Toronto, with a minimum three days in office and GTA travel. Reporting to the Vice President, Communications, Public Affairs & Research, this Director leads corporate, executive, partner, and public relations communications. The work advances UWGT’s mission through thought leadership, storytelling, audience insights, and evidence-based strategy. The role manages four people. Key Responsibilities:

Develop annual business plans for the Communications team Oversee enterprise-wide communications and public relations strategies Direct media relations and respond to media inquiries Advise executives on issues management and communications planning Oversee CEO communications, speechwriting,



and spokesperson support Requirements:

Seven to ten years of skilled communications experience Experience implementing strategic and corporate communications strategies Political acumen and thought leadership on priority issues Experience working with executives, media, government, and community stakeholders Post-secondary degree in communications, journalism, marketing, or political science preferred Bring strategic judgment, media expertise, and inclusive leadership to communications advancing United Way Greater Toronto’s community impact.
