Design ultra-high-performance datacenter software and firmware at Broadcom, using C++ or C across complex multi-processor architectures. This in-person position offers end-to-end technical ownership.
As a Staff Software Engineer, you will develop solutions spanning ZephyrOS, OpenBMC, embedded Linux, Yocto, drivers, microcode, and control software. You will work within a small team of experienced engineers and collaborate with interdisciplinary and partner engineering teams. The work covers products from inception through volume production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver datacenter-scale software and firmware
- Own designs across firmware, drivers, microcode, and control software
- Support customer trials and resolve field issues
- Drive validation, testing, and automation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary and partner engineering teams
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering and eight-plus years' experience
- Expertise developing C++ or C for x86 and ARM architectures
- Experience with Linux, Yocto, OpenBMC, or ZephyrOS
- Deep bring-up, driver development, and low-level debugging expertise
- Knowledge of I2C, PMBus, PCIe, Redfish, and DMTF standards
