The semi-skilled Operations Maintenance Worker provides general labouring duties, in support of semi-skilled and skilled workers. An incumbent may be assigned to work in any different work areas/sections. The majority of work involves physical effort and agility. The incumbent exercise some independence of action and judgement in day-to-day functions and refers unusual problems or policy matters to their supervisor. This position operates under the direction of a supervisor who checks work upon completion for quality and adherence to established work standards. Instruction is given through oral and written means.

The Training Manual Requirements pre-qualifications for this position are:

- One (1) year of related experience

OR
- Six (6) months of related experience and completion of Introduction to Public Works or equivalent course





The Class Specification requires a Driver’s Licence for the Province of British Columbia – Class 5 and is a job requirement.
