We are seeking a skilled 3D Data Prep for Machine Control, Civil 3D Specialist to join our team. This role involves preparing and managing detailed 3D models and data for construction and civil engineering projects, ensuring seamless integration with machine control systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CAD drafting, civil design, and construction processes, with proficiency in various design software.

This position offers an opportunity to work on innovative projects that require precise data management and technical expertise to support efficient construction operations.

Responsibilities

- Develop, review, and optimize 3D models for machine control applications using Civil 3D and Revit.
- Prepare accurate CAD schematics, drawings, and drafting documentation aligned with project specifications.
- Integrate data from SketchUp, NavisWorks, MicroStation, and SolidWorks to ensure comprehensive model compatibility.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to convert design concepts into detailed digital models suitable for construction use.
- Perform quality checks on models to verify accuracy, consistency, and readiness for deployment in the field.
- Assist in troubleshooting data issues related to CAD files or model integration during project execution.
- Maintain organized project files and documentation for easy access and future reference.
- Support the creation of 2D or 3D animations or visualizations as needed to illustrate project workflows or designs.

Experience





- Proven experience working with Civil 3D, Revit, AutoCAD
- Strong background in CAD modeling within a construction or civil engineering environment.
- Familiarity with construction processes and how digital models interface with real-world machinery and site operations.
- Experience in 2D animation or visualization tools is a plus but not mandatory.
- Prior involvement in projects requiring precise data preparation for machine control systems is highly desirable.
- As an extension there will be a need to compile quality control reports and the ability to modify CAD drawings to accommodate on the fly changes
- Familiarity with Leica Geosystems Machine Control/Rover systems is also highly desirable.
- BIM knowledge a plus.

This role requires a detail-oriented skilled with excellent technical skills who can effectively manage complex data sets while supporting innovative construction solutions. Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
