Okanagan Sunshine Fruit Packers Ltd. is a progressive agricultural operation committed to producing high-quality crops using sustainable and efficient farming practices. We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Farm Supervisor to oversee daily production activities and ensure the success of our growing operations.

Position Overview The Fruit Production Supervisor will be responsible for managing field crews, coordinating production tasks, monitoring crop health, and ensuring all activities meet quality and safety standards. This role requires solid leadership, agricultural knowledge, and hands-on involvement in field operations.

Key Responsibilities

· Supervise and coordinate daily orchard operations, including planting, pruning, thinning, irrigation, harvesting, and general farm maintenance.

· Assign daily tasks to farm workers and monitor their performance, productivity, and quality of work.

· Train employees in proper agricultural practices, equipment operation, and workplace safety procedures.

· Monitor crop growth, fruit quality, pest activity, and orchard conditions.

· Coordinate harvesting activities to ensure crops are picked at the appropriate maturity and quality standards.

· Supervise the sorting, grading, and handling of harvested fruit.

· Monitor irrigation systems and coordinate fertilization and pest management activities.

· Maintain records of employee attendance, working hours,



crop production, and daily farm activities.

· Ensure compliance with WorkSafe requirements and applicable agricultural health and safety regulations.

· Inspect farm equipment, tools, and machinery and arrange maintenance when necessary.

· Report on operational issues, labour requirements, and crop conditions to farm management.

· Ensure farm operations are completed efficiently and according to production schedules.

Qualifications

· Experience in fruit production or horticulture (tree fruit, berries, or vineyard experience preferred).

· Solid leadership and team-management skills.

· Knowledge of the best agricultural practices, equipment operation, and field safety.

· Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

· Good communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.

· Bilingual (English/Spanish) is an asset.

· Valid driver’s license.

Physical Requirements

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

· Ability to walk, stand, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
