Reporting to the Manager, Regulatory Reporting, this Senior Financial Analyst ("SFA") position is a key member of the finance team. This role provides opportunities for cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders across Finance, other business areas, and Definity-owned subsidiaries.

Prepare and review consolidation entries, including intercompany eliminations, broker commission eliminations, dividend accounting, and intercompany loan and interest balances. Support accounting and reporting requirements related to lease accounting, IFRS 17, and other reporting standards. Support the preparation, analysis, and review of the Minimum Capital Test (MCT), including working papers, regulatory filings, and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.

Assist with regulatory surveys and other corporate reporting requirements.

Regulatory Reporting General Ledger Close Support

Support the monthly close processes through preparation, review, and upload of journal entries and financial results into the general ledger. Coordinate financial data submissions from legal entities and ensure completeness and accuracy of reporting packages. Prepare supporting schedules and analyses required for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting.

Provide ad hoc accounting and reporting support across the Finance team as required. Systems & Process Improvement Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, automation, and controls within financial reporting processes. Leverage technology, including advanced Excel functionality, automation tools, and AI-enabled solutions, to streamline recurring activities and enhance reporting quality.





Act as a trusted business partner within Finance and provide support and guidance to team members. Serve as a backup resource for key accounting and reporting functions within the team. Contribute to a collaborative team environment through knowledge sharing, continuous improvement, and process documentation.

University or college degree in business, finance, or related program ~ A CPA accounting designation (SFA), or working towards a CPA accounting designation ~ Robust understanding of financial reporting, consolidation, and intercompany accounting. ~ Advanced Excel skills, including experience working with sophisticated financial models. ~ 3+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience. ~ Experience with insurance industry accounting, IFRS 17, or similar complex reporting environments.

Experience supporting acquisitions, integration activities, or multi-entity reporting structures.
