Camp Hurontario, a boys' summer camp located on a beautiful island of the Georgian Bay, is looking to hire an arts and crafts enthusiast to join us for the summer of 2027. Leave the city behind and spend the summer teaching your passion to boys aged 5-16 in groups no larger than eight at a time, always assisted by two experienced summer camp counsellors.
Our arts and crafts instructor focuses on Silk-Screen t-shirt designing and Tie-Dye. The instructor operates their program out of the camp's fully supplied art shop, with plenty of opportunities to canoe with equipment out to shoreline spots and islands to work on projects outside. Campers create their own stencil designs and use paints and silk screens to print their designs onto t-shirts.
Likewise, campers tie-dye t-shirts, choosing their own colours and pattens, all with the aim to create a beautiful wearable project to take home.
The ideal candidate has experience in these craft activities; however,
we encourage all with a passion for arts and crafts to apply, as training in both activities can be provided.
Join our friendly co-ed staff of 110 to spend the summer making new friends and living with those who share your interest in working with children in a beautiful outdoor environment. Aside from your salary, full accommodation and all meals will be provided by the camp during the work term, which constitutes of June, July and August of 2027.
To apply, please attach or send a CV and cover letter to the camp's email, addressed to David Freel:
